Great Tin Mountain program on Umbagog Saturday. Never saw so many osprey at one time. We stopped at one point on the river in to the lake to view a perched adult bald eagle and had seven osprey over head. Later that morning an osprey took a fish a short distance from the boats on the river, and another begain chashing it. The osprey with the fish dropped the fish in the water very close to where it was originally taken. The two osprey flew up higher in the air to argue about who really should have the fish. In the meantime, a large adult eagle came flying straight down the Androscoggin River, took the fish, and flew off. Also saw many herons and loons with chicks.
