Yes. The field will be limited to approx. 300 riders. <strong>When is the practice ride?</strong> Day and Date Change: Saturday, July 16, 2011. Start your ride any time between the hours of 5-7 a.m. After 7:00 a.m. and you will not be able to ride. <strong>How do I register for the practice ride?</strong> To register for the PR: A special link will be emailed to each registered racer at the end of February. This link will allow you to register for the PR on line. <strong>Is there a cost to the do the practice ride?</strong> You must be registered for the Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb to partake in the practice ride. There is no additional cost for the practice ride. Registered Hillclimb racers will need to give their race confirmation number which is found on the Bikereg registration confirmation which you received after you registered. The Practice Ride is NOT open to the general public. <strong>I'm already signed up for the practice ride, where do I need to be to start?</strong> The practice ride will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2023 with riders starting up the mountain between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Enter the Auto Road and take your first left into the gravel lot. TMCC or Auto Road staff will be there to check you in and make sure you have a car ride down. <strong>No riders will be permitted after 7:00 a.m. , no exceptions.</strong> <strong>How do I get back down?</strong> All riders must prove they have a driver that can bring them back down. Under no circumstances will a rider be permitted to ride if they don't have a car ride down; no exceptions. <strong>Is there a charge for cars?</strong> Mt Washington Auto Road rates are posted on their web site. The Auto Road Toll House will be following weight and car restrictions. Please email Mary ([email protected]) if you have any questions or again visit the Auto Road web site. The Toll House does accept Credit Cards. <strong>Will there be any amenities at the practice ride?</strong> Note. The practice ride is unsupported, there will not be: food, water, mechanical support, timing, blankets, awards, EMTs, etc. So if there is something you think you might need, be sure to bring it with you! Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb. With a successful year of racing Mount Washington we will keep last years changes in place. And add a few new changes to this year. 1. New Race Day Schedule - starting 1 hour later. The Auto Road will open to UPBOUND race related traffic at 6:15 a.m. Your drivers will love this! NEW TIMES FOR WAVES The first wave - Top Notch will start the race at 8:35 a.m 2nd group (20-34),(35-39) 8:40 a.m. 3rd group 40-44 8:45 a.m. 4th group 1st half - 45 +, Tandems, Jrs. 8:50 a.m. 5th group 2nd half - 45 +, Tandems, Jrs. 8:55 a.m. Please review Race Day Schedule for race weekend information and times. If we are forced to cancel - a non-supported 40 mile or 80 mile ride will be available. Lunch will not be cancelled. It will be served under the tent from 11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. With February 1st just around the corner please make sure you are aware of all changes for the 2009 race and are aware of the cancellation policy. Registration is limited to 600 racers Entry fee is $350.00 per person Registration opens on Sunday, February 1 at 8:00 a.m. There will be a counter on the registration page so you will be able to see the number of people that have registered. Once the MWARBH sells out a Wait List will be available. Registration for the wait list will be on line at www.bikereg.com. The Practice Ride is reserved for those that have registered for the race. A few days after the Hillclimb sells out, registered participants will receive Practice Ride registration instructions via email. The Practice Ride is limited to 300 riders.
