Can I be in the Top Notch Category and start first?

This category is reserved for any rider who has completed the Mt. Washington Hillclimb in 1:20 or less or is a Cat.1 or 2 or a professional racer. No other riders will be allowed in this field. Riders in this field will be racing against riders in their own age category and not necessarily against other riders in this starting field. There are no medals for this category, all riders are competing for medals within their age group.

Just how steep is the course?

The Mt. Washington Hill Climb is quickly becoming known as the toughest hill climb in the world.

The Mt Washington Auto Road is 7.6 miles in length, has an average grade of 12% with extended sections of 18% and the last 50 yards is an amazing 22%! Sprint that to the finish!
